Who it's for
Prized Plants is for rare plant collectors, and just as much for anyone searching for one special plant they cannot find through ordinary garden centers or marketplaces — a rare tropical fruit, an heirloom edible, a particular orchid, an unusual tree.
Growers, propagators, and specialty nurseries are welcome too. A prized plant does not need to be expensive: it may be rare, sentimental, historically significant, or simply worth the effort it took to find and grow.
How it works
How the Plant Encyclopedia works
Every plant gets a permanent, structured page — names, care information, photos, and references. Plant information is community submitted and editorially reviewed. We label information honestly: community submitted, source referenced, limited, or under review. We never call plant information verified unless a defined verification process supports the claim.
How My Greenhouse works
My Greenhouse is your personal record of what you grow — photos, acquisition notes, and details that matter to you. Every entry is private by default. If you choose to share an entry publicly, sensitive details like purchase price, source, and growing location always stay private.
How Wishlist works
Your Wishlist keeps track of the plants you hope to grow next. In this phase, wishlists are entirely private — there is no public sharing and no availability alerts yet. Public wishlist sharing is planned for a future phase.
What's coming
Prized Plants is deliberately built discovery-first, marketplace-later. Plant requests, marketplace listings, trading, and community features arrive in future phases as the platform grows. We won't promise a feature on this site until it actually exists.
How we handle trust
Plant information on Prized Plants comes from the community and is editorially reviewed — it is not “verified” in any authoritative sense, and we say so plainly. Contributions are moderated, and every plant page shows the honest status of its information. Read our Community Guidelines to see what we expect from contributions.
