Privacy Policy

Privacy is the default at Prized Plants. Your collection is yours: what you grow, what you paid, where you keep it, and what you hope to grow next are private unless you deliberately choose otherwise.
Wishlists are private in this phase. There are no public wishlists, no wishlist sharing, and no availability alerts — public wishlist sharing is planned for a future phase.
What we collect today
Prized Plants is currently a browse-only foundation build with no accounts and no sign-in. We do not ask you for personal information anywhere on the site today. Like almost all websites, our hosting infrastructure produces standard technical logs (such as IP addresses and requested pages) used to keep the site running and secure.
When accounts open
Account features are being built privacy-first, and this policy will be updated in detail before they launch. The commitments below describe how those features are designed to work.
My Greenhouse entries are private by default. Nothing you record becomes public unless you explicitly choose to make it public, and even then, purchase prices, acquisition sources, growing locations, personal notes, and inventory numbers always stay private.
Your email address, exact location, and private records are never shown publicly. Public profiles show at most a broad region — never an address or coordinates.
Moderator access to private content
Moderators do not have blanket access to private content. Access to a specific private record requires a documented grant tied to a specific user report, is time-limited, and every grant and retrieval is audit-logged.
Account deletion
When accounts exist, you will be able to delete your account. Deletion will explain exactly what is removed, what is anonymized, and what may be retained for legal reasons, before you confirm.
Backups
Private data remains protected in backups: backup copies are subject to the same access restrictions as live data and are not used for any other purpose.
Changes to this policy
This policy will grow as the platform does — most notably before accounts, photo uploads, and analytics launch. Material changes will appear on this page with an updated date.
